Due to continued heavy rainfall, the Frances Slocum Elementary building is closing today (August 12) due to flash flooding. All students and staff are safe, but water around the building has made it impossible to access the building safely.
All students who had ridden the bus to the school this morning are being taken by bus to the MHS auditorium, where they will be with their teachers. They will be safe and supervised until picked up.
Parents/guardians have two options:
>> Pick their student up at the MHS auditorium (Door 19)
>> Let us know they want their student to ride the bus back home. These bus routes will run after the secondary students have been dropped off, at 8:30 a.m. or later.
Please connect with your teacher immediately to let us know which choice your family has made.
